Our Policies
Guarantee
We guarantee satisfaction for your first hour of tutoring. If you are not satisfied with your first hour of tutoring, please notify us at the end of that session you won't be charged for that hour. We cannot guarantee your money back after several sessions have been provided or at the end of a course.
Payment —Invoices or Pre-pay
All payment is handled through Superb Tutors. Students may pre-pay by check or can opt to receive invoices once a month. Invoices are sent every month via e-mail from billing@superbtutors.com (in PDF format) for tutoring completed in the previous four weeks.
Students meeting for one-time tutoring sessions must pay at the end of the session by check (made out to “Superb Tutors”).
Payment — Forms of Payment
We accept personal checks, money orders, or PayPal (billing@superbtutors.com) as payment. Cash is not accepted. Please make out payments to “Superb Tutors” and mail to: “Superb Tutors, P.O. Box 34012, San Diego, CA, 92163.”
Late fees
Payments are due 15 (fifteen) business days after receipt of the invoice. Payments not received by the date specified on the invoice will be charged a $20 late fee for every week past due.
Returned or bounced checks will be charged a $25 fee per check. Failure to pay invoices after 60 days will result in legal action for an amount equal to two times the amount owed or $1,000, whichever is greater, plus all legal fees.
Scheduling & Cancellations
All scheduling is done between the student and their tutor.
Cancellations made with more than 24-hours notice are requested out of consideration for the tutor. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the tutoring appointment may be charged.
“No-Shows”
Students who are more than fifteen (15) minutes late are considered “no-shows” and are responsible for full payment of the scheduled tutoring session.
Students who arrive late may only be tutored for the remainder of the scheduled tutoring session and will be billed for the full session.
Student Minors
A parent or designated adult must be present during tutoring sessions with student minors. Should the parent or designated adult choose not to attend or to leave during the session, Superb Tutors is released from any and all liabilities that may occur.
Using Package Hours in Full
Should you need to cancel your tutoring before completing the minimum number of hours in your package, we ask that you pay the rate difference of the package your total hours fall into.
