The application process

Superb Tutors is committed to working with only the highest quality tutors in San Diego. We look for applicants with outstanding academic credentials as well as relevant experience teaching and mentoring. Teaching credentials are a plus but not a requirement. We will contact applicants to set up a subject interview.

News as of July 13, 2010:

We are interested in working with tutors for the '10/'11 academic year, and beyond. We're most interested in tutors in the Rancho Bernardo regions (Sabre Springs, Poway, Scripps Ranch, Rancho Santa Fe), SDSU/downtown area (La Mesa, Rancho San Diego, Mission Hills), North County Coastal (Del Mar, Solana Beach, Encinitas, Carlsbad), and La Jolla/Carmel Valley area. Applicants in surrounding areas will be considered. Working with both high school and university-level students is important. The following subjects are especially in demand:

- Chemistry (General, Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry)

- Mathematics (all — algebra through Calculus I and above)

- Statistics

- Finance

- Physics

- Spanish (university credentials required)

In your cover letter, please specify your subjects, specific subject areas, and level of mastery in each area.
